PROYECT e-Car Additive FOAMs

June 2023 – April 2024

Novadep is developing the e-Car Additive FOAMs project in the frame of the Cluster de Automoción de Castilla y León (FACYL) together with Aenium Engineering and Lingotes Especiales.

The aim of the project is the optimization of electrical car components focused on the weight reduction, battery autonomy enhancement and chilling systems improvement.

Stage I:

Investigating the MICROFOAMS, an innovative alternative of material from additive manufacturing technologies by powder bed fusion (PBF).
Developing a characterization and certification methodology for MICROFOAM pieces.
Validating the research results by producing lad-scale prototypes with potential application in the automotive industry.

The e-Car Additive FOAMs project is funded by Industry, Commerce an Tourism Ministry of Spain from the Plan of Recuperation, Transformation, and Resilience in the 2023 call.
