Certification according to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard

The project “Certification according to ISO 9001:2015 Quality Standard” has been co-financed by the ERDF, Thematic Objective 3, which aims to “IMPROVE THE COMPETITIVENESS OF SMEs.”

Novadep NDT Systems SL, with financial support from the European Union and the Instituto de Competitividad Empresarial de la Junta de Castilla y León (ICECYL) has developed and implemented a Quality Management System according to the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The scope of this system includes the “Design and manufacturing of X-ray Systems.” To achieve this, the company conducted an analysis of the standard’s requirements and an internal diagnosis of its strengths and opportunities. As a result, it developed an action plan aimed at standardizing its core processes, which were audited by Bureau Veritas on January 19, 2024. The company now holds the certificate ES142732 – 1, which certifies the compliance of its Management System with the requirements of the aforementioned standard.

Proyect e-Car Additive FOAMs

June 2023 – April 2024

Novadep is developing the e-Car Additive FOAMs project in the frame of the Cluster de Automoción de Castilla y León (FACYL) together with Aenium Engineering and Lingotes Especiales.

The aim of the project is the optimization of electrical car components focused on the weight reduction, battery autonomy enhancement and chilling systems improvement.

Stage I:

  • Investigating the MICROFOAMS, an innovative alternative of material from additive manufacturing technologies by powder bed fusion (PBF).
  • Developing a characterization and certification methodology for MICROFOAM pieces.
  • Validating the research results by producing lad-scale prototypes with potential application in the automotive industry.

The e-Car Additive FOAMs project is funded by the Industry and Tourism Ministry of Spain from the Recuperation, Transformation, and Resilience Plan in the 2023 call.

Proyect e-Car Additive FOAMs

August 2024 – July 2025

Novadep is developing the e-Car Additive FOAMs PHASE 2 project in line with the European Industrial Strategy 2030, the Horizon Europe Programme, the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, the Spanish Strategy for Science, Technology and Innovation 2021-2027 and the Spain Digital Agency 2026.

The objective is to create new refractory materials with applications in electric vehicle batteries and to research and prototype the automation of the manufacturing process and characterisation of microfoams.

Stage 2:

  • Research and development of methodologies for integrating microfoam technology through metal additive manufacturing.
  • CT-Scan inspection as production of cores on injection of traditionally manufactured components and their optimisation in terms of weight and cooling.
  • Comparison with injection by DED metal additive manufacturing processes.
